Workplace Wellbeing & Human Development

Developing the human being behind the role.

Every organisation is made up of human beings, each bringing a nervous system, a history, patterns of thought and behaviour, emotional responses, relationships, creativity, energy and an extraordinary capacity to adapt.

Every organisation is made up of human beings — each bringing a nervous system, a history, patterns of thought and behaviour, emotional responses, relationships, creativity, energy and an extraordinary capacity to adapt.

We don't leave any of that at the office door.

My work with organisations brings human development into the places we work, helping people develop a greater understanding of themselves and the organism through which they think, communicate, relate, create, lead and respond to the world around them.

Rather than simply giving people more information about wellbeing, I create experiences that invite them to get their skin in the game — to notice what is happening within themselves, explore how they respond under pressure, and develop practical ways of creating greater awareness, self-governance and choice.

From reaction to response

Modern working environments ask a great deal of the human organism.

Deadlines, uncertainty, interpersonal dynamics, change, responsibility, information overload and the continual movement of attention can all influence how we show up — often before we've consciously recognised what is happening within us.

Through a combination of education and experiential practice, I help people understand the relationship between the body, mind, emotions, nervous system, attention and behaviour.

We explore what happens when pressure enters the system, how habitual patterns influence our responses, and how awareness can create a little more space between stimulus and action.

It is in that space that response-ability begins to grow.

Evolve Yourself® wellbeing solutions

Not another wellbeing talk

There is enormous value in understanding something intellectually. But understanding stress, communication, emotional regulation or self-awareness is different from experiencing what is actually happening in your own organism.

This is where my work becomes experiential.

Depending on the group and intention, a session might weave together conversation, nervous-system education, breath, movement, meditation, embodied awareness, self-inquiry, communication practices and simple processes people can continue exploring for themselves.

There may be laughter. There may be movement. There will probably be a few aha moments.

The intention isn't to tell people how they should be.

It is to help them understand themselves well enough to have greater choice in how they show up.

Self leadership - Self Governance, brings alive a more coherent self in turn organisation.

Human development changes how we meet the world

When we understand more about what is happening within ourselves, something changes in the way we meet what is happening around us.

We may become more able to recognise activation before reacting from it, communicate what is actually happening, listen with greater presence, navigate disagreement, work with our attention, take responsibility for our responses and access more of the creativity and intelligence available to us.

That doesn't mean creating workplaces where everyone is calm, happy and perfectly regulated.

We're human.

The invitation is to develop the capacity to meet the full range of human experience with greater awareness, flexibility and response-ability, and when individuals begin to change how they show up, the relationships around them change too.

Teams are relationships. Organisations are networks of relationships. What we cultivate individually inevitably participates in what we create collectively.

WHO I HAVE WORKED WITH

Working with Marie Louise

I have spent nearly 20 years exploring and facilitating human development through the interconnected worlds of embodiment, consciousness, nervous-system intelligence, emotional awareness, movement, meditation, breath, energetics, communication and spiritual inquiry.

My work has taken me into retreats, workshops, conferences, community spaces and organisations, working with people from many different walks of life. I don't arrive with the assumption that I know what your people need.

I arrive curious.

We begin with the humans in front of us, the environment they are navigating and what you would genuinely like to explore or develop — and create from there.

Let's create something that fits your people.

If you're considering a workshop, wellbeing experience, facilitated program, conference activation or ongoing human-development offering, I'd love to hear what you're exploring.
